Multiple Sequence Alignment

The alignment programmes Clustal Omega and Multalin were used to align the sequences of p38 MAPK in various species. The multiple sequence alignments could then be analysed to look for conservation of p38 MAPK between species and look at particular domains that are well conserved. The aligments were created comparing Human, Frog, Mouse, Zebrafish, Macaque and Rat p38MAPK using the FASTA-format input sequences.  The Clustal Omega alignments were formated using Boxshade to clearly highlight the similarities and differences in the sequences.
